Cloud hosting extremly expensive..

I have been collecting cloud hosting offers from several of the largest providers lately. I sent them our current setup and usage and every single offer we received was more expensive than our current setup...

Am I the only one that feels that cloud hosting is overhyped and extremely expensive or can anyone point me towards a provider that can offer really flexible and low cost pricing (they all seem to have more or less fixed prices even thoug one would think that cloud hosting was ever so flexible - I haven't seen it yet..)

u need to serach on google for best and reliable cloud hosting and also check the reviews of the site it will give u an idea about to go with them or not.

Cloud hosting is inexpensive, I think you are going in wrong direction.
So i would suggest you to find out some other cloud hosting providers and compare their prices and features along with their feedback.

Cloud services are expensive then when you need more resources, at that time you must pay a lot of. I think if you have good traffic project it better order dedicated server because, you know that all servers resources use on only your project, then and price is more less and good services.

Cloud hosting is a bit hyped, the technology has been around for a real long time, but it seems that many times its just the name "Cloud" that makes people go Wohooo Cloud is also a bit more attractive than webshoting, webhotels, SAAS, PAAS etc.

I wouldn't say that it's over-hyped necessarily. I think it's still fresh and new and there aren't as many companies offering it. That's exactly why it's still expensive at this day in time.

Well! first of all you had chosen a right decision by getting cloud hosting offers.Different hosting providers give their client many options regarding features of hosting applications, so the cost differs in their point of view. Not sure from where you are collecting the offers, you should check the offer section of the forum to get a good deal. You can also checkout digitalocean, they are well known for cheap cloud hosting.
