ofcourse dreamweaver you can do what u can think. its easy fast and easy to understand for learners.
the only thing i don't like is creating design in tables..!
Main table, than table table under table uff sometimes complicated design becomes more complicated.

But still thanks to dreamweaver its easy to manage.. it rocks :)

I definitely prefer dreamweaver because the webpage that I created using it looks nicer both in Firefox and IE. However, when it comes to Frontpage, the website will only look good in IE and not Firefox.

I use both of them. If i have to edit HTML files i mostly use Frontpage i find it easier / lighter than dreamweaver. But for other files like asp, php etc i use dreamweaver.

I don't have much experience with either but DW is better because it so many features. Frontpage is very basic.

I think Dreamweaver is far better than Frontpage. The main reason for this is the code. In Dreamweaver, end users will not be able to view the codes under View options so it is harder to hack or copy your codes. Also in Dreamweaver, you can integrate Flash movies easier rather than in FrontPage.

I think your better off with dreamweaver, and this is coming from someone who has token class for it and has made a website for it. Its a very easy to use software if you know its features and if you dont like the user based design stuff you can always use the coding section.

Dreamweaver because it's much more user-friendly and much more powerful. Now that Adobe bought Macromedia products like Dreamweaver will get some kind of Photoshop integration.

I used Front Page initially for a year or so when I was first learning html and Css but Since using Dreamweaver 8 for the first time I have not used FP since and gone onto to use the later versions of Dreamweaver. Dreamweaver just has the extras.

Never used Front Page, I've always used different versions of dreamweaver or homesite.

I find the code view code, color schemes in dreamweaver to be very helpful when coding by hand, although I have no use for design view, it is pretty much useless when designing sites with tableless layouts (dreamweaver MX).

Never use frontpage as it produces a very bad HTML code. I always prefer dreamweaver as it is the best WYSIWYG editor available till date and nothing can beat it. It produces a clean HTML code and has many options to create your pages, either Table layout or Tableless layout.

Manage many sites easily. Dreamweaver makes it as easy as possible to toggle between sites you are working on. If you build websites for a living, this ease of switching up projects is a definite must. There are so many great features in Dreamweaver that you would not get in ordinary html editors.

Anyway leaving the 'clunky' argument aside, HTML is easily learned though there is rather a lot of it. Most of the site builders enable you to do it as an option.

What are the differences between Dreamweaver and FrontPage and which would you recommend?

I have both software (latest version) and I've been using FrontPage for several years. I've heard that Dreamweaver is better, but I'm finding it challenging to learn. Feedback anyone? Is it worth giving up FrontPage and just focusing on Dreamweaver?
