Dediacted server is machine like computer just smaller version and made to be online 24/7/365 which mostly are founded in Data Center some college may also have server room. so its server with dedicated parts own Ram, CPU, HDD, Mother Board just its made for hosting industrial. so all resources inside the dedicated servers are yours so you don't need to worry about neighbours like in VPS. so if we talk about VPS you will need dedicated server for example lets say 32 GB Ram x3 2 TB will make it RAID 10 and 12 Core CPU so you need dedicated server which you will install for example OpenVZ and on that you will make your VPS so you will give resources of dedi to vps so example 1GB of 32 GB Ram of dedi. maybe it's sounds difficult and maybe I'm not great at explain stuff but maybe someone will get it
