I use php or html to creat most of my sites, it is a mix of the too depending on the project at hand and wheter it is a database driven site or a site where the users has control which would be mainly php to a static information site which would be mainly html

Well.
HTML is the easiest web language on all of the web languages.
You need to learn first html before going to php, mysql, etc.

But now, I use PHP for my website to have that Counters/Visitors Tracking.

I use HTML since I am still a beginner at web designing. Anyway, I am planning to learn PHP but it's going to be a long hard way!
