If you already have hundreds of articles, transferring to another host is a pain. Can someone suggest a site that gives a guide in detail?

Transfering your sites to another host

Do you have access to the WHM?
I know of two ways to do this:
1)Go to your WHM and go to "Transfers" > "Copy an account from another server".
2)Perform "Full Backup" function on your current hosting account, which will result in backup files found in the "cpmove" backup directory of your current hosting account. Then transfer those backup files to the "cpmove" directory on your new hosting account, go to WHM > Backup > "Restore a Full Backup/cpmove file"
I think it may also be important whether your new hosting account uses cPanel or not. Why don't you just ask tech support to help you? That's what I did before. First I was hesitant to ask because I thought that because I was taking their business to somewhere else, they may not help me transfer my data. But tech support was nice about it and gave me all the info I needed to make the transfer hassle-free. Just tell them you need a new account with more storage or bandwidth (or whatever) than what your current provider can provide, and that's why you're switching. Tell them you'll be using their services again in the near future when you need to host smaller sites. They should be happy to help you.
Hope I haven't confused you further by trying to help!
