Do you think having a proxy site(s) on a VPS would use up the resources too fast?

right now i'm looking for vps that has 256mb of memory but not with cpanel cause cpanel its lot of ram. if your proxy is limited i suggest no... your other site will be affected and if you 512 or more of ram.. go for it

You should go for a VPS if you want a proxy site.

Its better than normal hosting.

Being CPU- and traffic-intensive, proxy sites can be hosted on VPS or dedicated.

I agree, directadmin or plesk is a far better choice in this case.

My recommendations for VPS hosting go to ServerPoint.com, they offer plesk/cpanel, Asmallorange.com cpanel/no control panel, A2hosting.com no control panel.

I didn't know that cPanel uses Ram. Are you sure on this? PS: Why is direct admin or plesk any better?

I have experience of using vps solutions of "www.drupalvaluehosting.com" from last couple of months. You can try their services. Best part DVH is offering quality services along with affordable rates.

A VPS proxy server permits any business and specific to set up their own private servers to their exact requirements. Anywhere there is internet obtain there the proxy server will be. They are an economical and realistic solution to the higher prices of internet hosting.
