  • What is your favorite registrar?

    Hello guys,
First of all, I want to thank the staff of these forums they're running. I am really very happy to be a part of this community.

I want to know from the people that experienced different registrars, I got a some domains with Godday and I think it is very evil registrar, they charge me double price about my domain privacy. I heard some registrars give free of charge(Domain Privacy).

After I found a website talking about the fact of what Godaddy.com is called Nodaddy.com I really changed my mind about staying there, and I want someone to get me out of there (godaddy.com).

Please share with me or us, all of we, you thought and experience.
    Thanks in advance.

Well, taking into account your needs I wanna say that my favorite domain name registrar is eurodns.com because this company has many accreditations and you will be able to register any domain extension you want at reasonable price. Moreover, this company always offers discounts.

I agree with Boomber, it depends upon the need of the individual.. If you thinking like an end Customer, then GoDaddy has the whole market.. Whereas, if you are looking at it as a Reseller then you can lookt at, ResellerClub.com, WWD... etc..

Domainsite, Namecheap. Go daddy has good prices but I have used them in the past and was not impressed.

I agree, I have also heard of a lot of foul play with GoDaddy.. There have also been issues about Hidden costs..

First of All, GoDaddy is mostly fav registar for almost people but beside of that, newbie must beware of some add on that GD offer. That make it the longest way to register a new domain. Unlesss you know the tricks ( No thanks, continue to checkout, it also take three page ). Beside that, GD interface is really so need long time to load that make people hate to come there.

So alternative is NameCheap which is offer free whois protection for first year.

For currently, that two is my fav

I am a customer of Godaddy for the past 3 years and I would say its my best choice when it comes for choosing a Domain Registrar. I know they advertise even when you change your nameservers for your Domains. But you can just ignore the message and continue to the next step (if you are not interested in the advertised message).

We have quite a few domain registrars that we use:
                    Godaddy, Name.com, tosdomains and LiveRegistry

Overall id have to say that godaddy are the cheapest, though LR seam to be the best support wise, and have never done me wrong.
Actually one of my domains expired and they renewed it for me dispite me foegetting to pay!

In my honest opinion, godaddy would have to win hands down and then probably moniker.com. It also depends on whether you going to be reselling them, because if you're doing that, godaddy is the best.

I had always used Dynadot in the past for my domains, as they were around $7.25, but they've recently upped their prices, so although i prefer their domain management system, Godaddy's prices just about swing it for me.
