Spam link building means you are getting backlinks from those sites who is approving or adding links of multiple niche and links from this type of site effect website ranking (downgrade). Due to this reason people who know about SEO do not prefer PBN links ..... because in private blog networks generally webmasters add multiple niche contens with backlinks, sometime i see there casino and adult website also. So if you are adding your links there then its count as bad neighbour links.

If you are commenting to any blogs which are not relevant to your niche market will also count as spam link building. So try to get backlinks from those websites only which are completely related to your niche market.

Spam links are hyperlinks that point to websites that have little or no value to your website. These links are often placed in comment sections and forums, and they are often created by spammers who want to drive traffic to their own websites.

Yeah it is better to don't put backlinks on same domain repeatedly.

For example, if a user added several links to the comment section on this post that had nothing to do with this post, that would be link spam. In most cases, these links lead to products or services that the spammer wants to promote

In simple words, Spam Links are comning from spammy websites. Such links are usually either coming from low-quality websites that are known from spamming (like link farms) or simply from websites that have poor domain authority.

Spam link building is the practice of acquiring backlinks from low-quality or irrelevant websites using unethical or manipulative tactics, with the goal of artificially boosting a website's search engine rankings. This includes tactics such as buying links, using automated link-building software, and creating link farms or networks. These tactics violate search engine guidelines and can result in penalties, including decreased search engine rankings and even delisting from search results. It is important to focus on ethical and sustainable link building strategies to build a strong online presence.

Those links which are not editorial links like you can create yourself can be classified as low quality links but for spam links it can be anything that you can achieve using some automated bots.

Spam link building is a frowned-upon practice where websites acquire low-quality or irrelevant backlinks to manipulate search engine rankings. These links often come from sources like link farms, automated tools, or unrelated sites, aiming to boost a site's visibility artificially. Such tactics violate search engine guidelines and can result in penalties or removal from search results. Legitimate link building, on the other hand, involves getting high-quality, relevant backlinks from reputable sites by creating valuable content. Unlike spam link building, this approach helps improve a site's search ranking organically and sustainably.

Spam link building is when websites use unethical tactics to artificially increase their backlink count, often by creating low-quality or irrelevant links in large volumes.
