    Re: Expired Domains

Yeah, it will keep it's pagerank, and the traffic that it holds will also come with it

      Re: Expired Domains

I had bought an expired domain, it was a PR4 and later it became a PR0... If you're going to buy an expired domain just for it's PR, don't.

Page Rank is not relevant in 2017. Instead you can use Domain Authority or other moz metrics or simply look at its backlink profile...

Thousands of domain names expire every day. The reasons are different. Some owners forgot to renew the domains, some just don't want them anymore or they moved on to other projects. For most people these so called Expired Domains don't have any value. They just see a bunch of Domain Names someone else deleted and move on, but for the people who know about SEO or the value of good Backlinks, Expired Domain Names are money just waiting to get picked up from the street. The only problem is to separate the good ones from the bad ones. That is where comes into play.

Huge number of space names terminate consistently. The reasons are unique. A few proprietors neglected to recharge the spaces, some don't need them any longer or they continued on toward different undertakings. For the vast majority these purported Lapsed Spaces have no worth. They simply see a lot of Space Names another person erased and continue on, yet for individuals who have some familiarity with Website design enhancement or the worth of good Backlinks, Lapsed Space Names are cash holding on to get gotten from the road. The main issue is to isolate the great ones from the terrible ones. That is where becomes possibly the most important factor.

Expired domain are only good if you are going to use them for related websites traffic,

If you are selling Cream Cakes and you find an expired domian with good domain authority and backlinks then it would be a good domain to buy and redirect to your website selling Cream Cakes

But if you took the same domain and set a redirect to a website selling Motor Cars...then your site in the eyes of search engines would get flagged up and drop rank like a lead balloon, due to spam and black hat seo, they can understand exactly what you are trying to do.

Purchasing an expired domain with PageRank can indeed be confusing. Generally, when you acquire an expired domain, it might still carry some residual PageRank value. However, it's important to note that Google no longer publicly updates or displays PageRank. The visible PageRank metric that used to be a significant factor in SEO has been deprecated.

While some of the domain's historical authority might remain, other factors also play into its overall ranking potential, such as the quality of backlinks, content, user experience, and recent SEO practices. Additionally, any penalties or negative history associated with the domain can also impact its performance.

Therefore, while an expired domain might have had PageRank in the past, its effectiveness in influencing search rankings today depends on a range of factors. It's crucial to conduct thorough research and assessment before purchasing an expired domain, and to focus on building high-quality content and backlinks to improve its SEO standing in the current landscape.
