first of all i would like to congratulate freehostforum's admins for getting so many members!
i too like most users here joined following an add on another webmasters forum.
if i remember correctly the ad asked for X amount of posts and X amount of threads spread on a certain number of days.
i followed these instructions by the book.
once i finished my quota, i decided to stay here as it looks loike a pretty nice forum with a lot of potential (keep up the good work).

but... now it seems that every day there are new people that join and start flooding the forum with useless threads that nobody will ever bother reading or replying to. they do it just to get their quota.
these guys can start over 10 threads in less then a couple of hours.
can't there be some sort of a daily limit or something?

i'd hate to see this place sink and become useless.
i might get banned for saying all this, but i hope you understand me and do something about it.

Getting banned? No. I appreciate your valuable suggestions.

We noticed the problem as well. Its been the same problem for many years since the site has been launched. Setting up an interval for them or something like that may be unrealistic. We do hope those people you mentioned could do a good job and come back one day. However we can not force them to do that. We are trying to attract more members to talk on the forums. On one hand the forums should not be an empty one; and on the other hand there should be more genuine posts. To balance this has never been easy. We are doing paid posts, but not only that. More traffics will come from blog posts, text links, Google adsense, etc...Compared with the traffic from day one, nowadays its amazing.

To answer your question, I have to say sorry. The problem maybe continue. BUT, lets hope things will getting better.

Very good point, gingimaster, and very good explanation, free. I wish there could be more consistent members who would take part in the discussions and make it a busy place. Although, FHF has improved a lot from start but still there is a room for improvement and it can only be done with the support of forum members
