With every topic that is title "The Best Editor" you will find that each person has thier own likes and dislikes. That you will get ALOT of people using different editors. So, to each him own. Personally I tried the crimson editor and didn't like it to much. Same with DreamWeaver, it seems like to much like a FP clone, I like to get at the code and work with it myself rather then have a WYSIWYG type of program making the code for me. Myself I love using PsPad, it is free, great built in FTP support, does multi syntax aware, and a bunch of other features /to many to meantion/. Again it is just what you like and need to be able to produce a great looking and functioning website.

Well i guess the best os still dreamweaver out there, but i dont use dreamweaver, i dont know why but i dont find myself comfortable with dreamweaver, so i am stuck with the basic old notepad sounds crazy but i havent had any problems !!

I too use dreamweaver also phpdesigner is another good php editor.
sometimes our old notepad rocks. Specially for quick editing.
