I believe redz got it right. I think it is a real scam. I have not tried one yet but a friend of mine advised me not to do so.!

These are real scams. I've read so many scam stories about these so never bothered to give them effort.

Not every Paid-to-Read site is a scam, but many other ones have you earn very slowly. 1/4 of a cent is very common per link.

Better stick with survey sites like otxsx, those view ads in email or any other = scam most of the time.

Yeah, like some have said, there are a lot of scam PTR sites out there. However, if you stick with the well known ones that have good reputations, you should be fine. I don't use any though because in my opinion they really just arent worth it.

I've tested it a long time ago and I got so much spam that I didn't even got paid for. I think they sold the email list to spammers. I had to change email address because of that. I'll never try any service like that again.

I agree a lot of ptr programs/websites are scams, but there are a view that do payout. But hey are you actually willing to read something for even less then 1 cent? come on!

There are many great paying programs as scam programs today.
Before joining anything, be sure to check the program in the scam list. I have been paid many times from some programs.

There are many PTRs out there. I used to own one but I then sold it. They are not fast money makers I can say that. Also not all are scams anyone who knows how to choose one wouldnt fall into scams for example people complain after being scammed by sites that give you $100 per email, think of it this way do you seriously believe you are going to get that much? Use some common sense and you will be alright.
