I am curious as to whether people do or do not submit to directories. I have at times taken the time to do submissions but not always. Of course, if you are accepted into good quality directories, it is a good way to increase traffic to your site and have more links for your website.

No, I don't do Directory Submission. Now a days it's not an effective SEO technique. Most of the directory sites are not approving the link and have now converted into Nofollow sites.
