in my previous thread here (http://freehostforum.com/thread12044.html), i was asking if anybody tried advertising on Facebook.
Not having received any conclusive thoughts and replies as well as me being cheap
, i tried something else ;
one of the best methods to advertise your site for free is usually to join a forum about your site's subject and trying to add your link in your signature or other possible places.
i decided to do the same with facebook groups ;
i have a Sudoku site that's doing ok, it gets around 10 UVs a day and about a click every 3-4 days.
I joined some groups about the game (there are a couple out there with over 1000 members) and placed my link on the groups' wall.
To my surprise, the number of UVs has risen to a bit over 15/day thanks to these groups and adsense clicks have risen as well to about a click every 2 days.
So what if facebook doesn't give follow links, the people that come thanks to it and later return are definetly worth it ; Just be sure to find the appropriate group.
