chmod is the command and system call which may change the access permissions to file system objects (files and directories)

it is dangerous to make such permissions but if you still need it try to do it from ftp manager or directly from command line as it was already written

In order to make necessary modifications in your files and folders, it is advisable that you change it directly from the remote server by utilizing FTP software.

You can achieve it using an FTP client. You may want to gain FTP credentials first and then using an FTP client software to access your webspace like FileZilla. Once on the root after acquiring a connection, you may right click the folder you want to CHMOD on the root directory, indicate numbers 777 and save settings (watch for option to include subfolders and files within the folder).

Why would you want to set all of your files and folders to 777?

If you have an access to the server then you can change the files and folders permission to 777 using the below mentioned command from SSH:

    [root@server]: chmod -R 777 /home/username/public_html/

Once you are done using the above command you will have to change the permission of only public_html folder to 755 using the below command:

    [root@server]: chmod 755 /home/username/public_html

Moreover, 777 permission is not advisable to use as there will be a chance of hacking a site.
