Dos
Whenever you choose a design for your website you will have to ensure that you keep relevance between the web design and the concept of your business. A good enough relevance will help you create a link between your custom website design and your company and thus people will understand the real motive of your website.
Keep the requirements of your business in your mind while picking up a web design for your website. It makes a huge difference. If your designer is aware with what you want from the first step then he will make a design which is perfect for your company needs. Therefore be specific with this.
A very big thing that you will have to keep in your mind is that you will have to ensure that your design is compatible with all the browsers on the web. Prefer to pick the most popular browsers first and then check with other browsers too. Also without fail bring it to the notice of your designer which browsers you want to prefer for this.
Don'ts
Do not pick a heave custom website design for your website. It is important for you to keep your website light with content and also the images included. Therefore ensure that you do not use too much of heavy images on your website or not post videos of heavy size this might make your website slow to access.
Too much of links on the websites will also make it very slow. So do not try to stuff your website with extra links. This might prove to be a bad thing for you. Along with links, you will also have to avoid things like flash or graphics on your website. This looks good but only to a limit. After that it results in making the website slower.
Do not pick such a server to upload your website which is not at all compatible with good and top browsers. The selection of the server is extremely essential and tehrefor3e you should not compromise with this fact.
