I'm starting a test blog and don't want to pay too much for it now.
I saw Namecheap has SSD hosting for 10$ first year and 40$/year after that.
Namecheap is also my registrar, so it would be easy.
That said, I heard you don't get cPanel with it.
How do you install a blog then? Or are there now easier ways to install a self-hosted blog than using cPanel?
I haven't had a self-hosted site in three years, so I may be out of the loop (my professional photography websites are hosted by Rackspace and managed by Aphotofolio - I never have to do anything but upload images)
This will be a film blog with text and images on Wordpress with a premium template.
Any tips or alternative suggestions are welcome.
My primary goals:
1. Low to no maintenance - just do the blog
2. Good load times - looks like SSD hosting has become the standard, or has it?
Thanks!
