Stack and Queue both are used as placeholder for a collection of data. The primary difference between a stack and a queue is that stack is based on Last in First out (LIFO) principle while a queue is based on FIFO (First In First Out) principle. Thanks

Stack and Queue both are linear data structures can be implemented both in array and Linked List. Stack is a data structure where the data that enter first will be retrieve in Last (FILO), but in case of Queue the data that has enter first would be first to left (FIFO) the counter.Last edited by addisoncave; 08-29-2016, 06:52 AM.

Stack has one entry point where as queue has input from one end and output from second end .

Stack follows the rule LIFO(last in first out). The thing which is inserted at end is obtained first.
while queue is FIFO (FIrst in first out).the thing which is inserted first is obtained first just like a queue of people.Last edited by Muhammad Waseem; 06-29-2017, 11:04 AM.

Stack – Represents the collection of elements in Last In First Out order. and Queue - Represents the collection of elements in First In First Out order.

Stack is a heap of elements placed one over the other.
Queue is a set of elements placed one after the other.
