Default How many keywords on a page for best SEO?

Keywords, as we shall see in the class on SEO and page tags, are all about FOCUS. You want to generally FOCUS each page on ONE KEYWORD FAMILY. Very narrowly focused pages do better in terms of SEO than huge, unfocused pages. So generally speaking, you want to split your content into many, small, focused pages vs. huge, non-focused pages. So, take a look at http://www.progressive.com/ and you'll see that they build the site around the TYPES of insurance offered, and that each TYPE is a 'keyword family' (e.g., RV insurance, or Motorcycle Insurance). The home page, however, is special and we will discuss that in the class on Website structure. In terms of SEO it has many responsibilities and you want to really architect out a strong SEO home page. All your other pages can be very focused on a single keyword family.
