Difference between PPC & SEO

Hello friends,

I know this might be a little elementary, but what is the main difference between SEO and PPC? Do you consider PPC to be part of SEO?

SEO is method or techniques to optimize website...
Pay per click (PPC) is an Internet advertising model used on websites, in which advertisers pay their host only when their ad is clicked.

I will consider to used SEO to help increase traffic and PR for website..I think SEO very effective and free to do ...

PPC or Pay-Per-Click Marketing is more like traditional advertising – you pay to be shown in the search engine listings for specific keyword phrases. But unlike traditional media, you don't pay for impressions, you only pay when someone actually clicks on your ad – hence the term "pay-per-click." When you make a 'keyword buy', your listings are shown in the right column in google. These are also known as the paid listings or sponsored links, but are referred to in the SEM industry as pay-per-click ads.

Search Engine Optimization or SEO for short – is more like public relations. You cannot buy 'publicity' for your site, you have to work for it by undertaking specific techniques and strategies. Generally, these activities include making changes to your website to included targeted keyword phrases and increasing the quality and number of incoming links to your website. When you conduct SEO, you are attempting to get your site in google normal search results.

PPC is good for quick results, but you must be prepared to spend money on it.

Seo is long term process, but if you keep working on it, it will give you lot of benefits in long term. You just have to be patient.

These two are different platforms. PPC is different marketing technique which needs only knowledge in clicking the site, where SEO is completely knowledge based.

PPC and SEO are effective internet marketing strategies.
In SEO, results takes a while to show up but the results lasts longer.
In PPC, results show up faster, it's better for short term gain.
