For on page optimization you need to look after mainly on suggesting proper keywords and their distribution, page title, header tags, content, anchor text, ALT tags for images, site map, inbound links.

Below tips are mainly for meta tags optimization.

Title tag: (make it short and accurate, there should be no more than 10 words for this tag, and as much as possible the most important keywords should be located in the first three words positions. )
Meta Title: (entry for title tag can be copied however would be good if you can think of alternatives)
Meta keywords: (no more than 10 unique, distinct and accurate keywords. Don't force unnecessary keywords.)
Meta description: (max. 2 sentences long. The most important/relevant keyword should be mentioned somewhere in these sentences only ones. Would be better if you take the first few words of the first sentence as the spot.)
