New to SEO - need some advice...

Hi everyone
I am a novice in the field of SEO. I have tried to work hard on learning whatever I can find about SEOs. But I haven’t seen a great deal of improvement on this issue. Is it because I have not used the right techniques, or has Google not picked me up yet? I am a new user and cannot yet post a URL so please send me a PM if you have any more information about this. The site has been online for about a week now. The site is mainly focused on functionality and not design.

That's right. Play by Google's rules and you will be rewarded. Watch videos Matt Cuts posts out there and you will see that things will be much easier to understand.
By the way the keyword density has to be just less than 5% on each word you are using on the page. Good luck!
