Increase web traffic

My website, which is 4 months, I worked with web content, article writing and submission and submission directories. I thought that these services simply to drive traffic to your site. I read some blogs that quality content is the key to doing successful online business. This is why I paid more attention to these services. However, I did not want the reverse. Can anyone tell me what to do to increase my web traffic? If there are other SEO techniques that I use, please enlighten me.

You are in the right way, if you are doing like above. Maybe you can try blog commenting, profile backlink, and press release. You need be patient and consistent to doing these all.

I also think blog commenting is a good way , others link building.
Search engines need a lot of time to index a new website and domain. They need time to index all your content; it's worth the wait and should be factored into your website profitability and/or popularity timeline. In the meantime, continue to add high quality content to your website and keep it up to date and relevant.

Beside the content, you should try to get more backlinks (you are participating in forums having a signature attached to your posts, so you got the idea ), participate in social media communities (networking and bookmarking sites like facebook obviously, twitter etc) or you could even give away free stuff like e-books, free software such as freeware, shareware, demos, free screensavers, templates and other stuff.
And of course, by doing all these, do not neglect the content! It is the most important thing to focus on!

Getting more page views is often the most important goal for Web developers. But there is more to getting page views than posting your site on search engines and writing your meta tags. There are some other things you can do to improve your chances.
1) Content

Create and maintain actual content on your Web site. If you're trying to sell something, it helps if you have articles and information about it. If you're providing information, make sure that you have more than just lists of links for your customers to browse. Having high quality content that is updated regularly will keep your customers coming back.


2) Write and send a newsletter regularly

Newsletters remind your customers that your site is still there. Even if everyone who is subscribed doesn't visit every time you send, you still keep your site in their mind. Also, since it's email it's easy for your readers to send it on to their friends, thus increasing your potential customer base.


3) Post to related newsgroups

If you have a chat room, you can hold the event there, otherwise, you can hold it in a public chat room. If they don't want to chat, perhaps they would be willing to write a short note for your site. Banner ads and text links are important, but offline advertising works too. Radio ads, ads in trade journals, and so on all help to generate interest in your site.
