The Android Vs Apple debate has been raging on for a long time now and it was never this big. For long Apple had been the reigning king of smartphones. Whether it be the simplistic yet beautiful hardware or their efficient software.

I still believe that apple has a upper hand. though things have been happened that favours android but The stakes are rising for Apple. Despite the iPhone's popularity, its market share has been eclipsed by phones that run Android, Google's mobile operating software.

Steve Jobs was a genius and there was no doubt that he led Apple to being what it is today, but you have to recognize he was very short-sighted in some things, like having to destroy Android. I have to agree with Tim here, settling for licensing patents can be beneficial to both Apple and the Android OEMs.

There is no winner in this battle. Both OS are growing and eating other platform's market share. Android is growing faster than iOS and soon it will take more than 75% of world smartphone market share.
