Understanding Office 365
Another great feature included with a subscription to Office 365 Home Premium is Office on Demand, which allows you to stream full-featured versions of most Office applications temporarily to another computer. This can be especially convenient if you need to edit Office files from a computer that does not have Office installed, such as a shared or public computer in a library or business center.
Unlike Office Web Apps or other online document editing apps, Office on Demand is not a web app—after the apps are streamed to your computer, they'll work just like the regular Office 2013 desktop applications. Once you're done, the apps will disappear. Simply put, Office on Demand is there whenever you need it to be.
Office on Demand requires a Windows 7 or Windows 8 computer with a high-speed internet connection.
