hi, everyone
A strange problem i have found on my laptop battery is that it will continue to "drain" even though without use. For example, if I charge the battery to 100% and then unplug it, according to the battery icon (hover over it in the icon tray), the battery power lose about 5% a day. The rate is terrible. Why this happen. It is a brand new battery bought from http://www.batteryselling.com/compaq...h-14-4v-1.html , so i asked the after-sale suivice for help. The answer they gave me is that it is an issue due to battery self-discharge. As i know after i did some research online, li-ion batteries have a self-discharge rate at 5% to 10% per month, but mine is 5% a day. It drains too fast, and i wonder if i have got a dead battery.. I hate this, and has any battery technology solved this now?
Or has anyone any decent experience with how quickly the batteries will self discharge. I don't know whether the saying online can be trusted or not..
