I agree. I've had two Dell laptops and they've both been great, though the battery on the first one finally wore out, but it was time to upgrade to #2 by then. It probably depends on what you want to do (design, gaming, etc), but I'd recommend Dell.

Dell and Sony offer quality laptops. Most of mycolleagues have Dell laptops. I have purchased one year old sony vaio laptoplast year. Except a little physical damage there is nothing complaining aboutit. It is working very fine. I have explored some new and exciting features ofmy laptops which are the part of custom UI of sony laptops.
