  • .info Or .net??

I am planning to buy some domains but i can't register the name .com...so out of .info or. net which one shall i use

Which one looks more user friendly?? I plan to buy .net but whats the view of other members

Personally I would go with .net because it is more common. However if the name that I wanted could be registered with .info then I may might choose it over .net.

      I would choose .net

Somehow .info applied only to free service for me (that's me not other people thought!)

I don't know about .net as I've nevered registered .net's before, but between .com and .info, I have reason to believe that google prefers .com's. I used to do blackhat adsense sites in large batches so I'd register for .info's for a fraction of the price of .com's. Somewhere down the line though I did an experiment with .com's and found that they were ranked higher and stayed in the SERPs longer!

Guess that still doesn't answer your question...sorry!

It also depends on the domain name itself. Some just work better as .net, while others .info. I used to have a proxy: SafeDirect.net I thought was great but as a .info I wouldn't like it, while the other way around is possible to. It's all about gut feeling, don't let a budget hold you back. I would prefer a .net over .info though.

I'd choose .net besides you may get it from EuroDNS.com with discount: NET550DN.

I would defintley register the .net however if your funds allow for it, I would get the .info as well.

I would just go ahead and register both .net and .info if my funds allow it. But if I had to choose only one I'd go for the .net domain.

                      actually,.net is better than .info
.net is more popular than .info and it looks more professional

.net and .info have the same prices. I may judge about that on prices from Ahosting.biz. They cost $9.99. Both extensions are good, much depends on your purposes.

I would choose .net or .org. .net is more common used. And .org is good for non commercial site.

.info are usually used by spammers due to their cheap prices,, .net's are more expensive and trustworthy

                            i'd go with .nets
