How about the free co.cc domain?

hi, I just wonder whether the free co.cc domain is the same domain as the .info or .org? I applied two, one is for my proxy site www.unblock-me.co.cc, one is for proxy list site: www.free4world.co.cc. But why the google yahoo search engines still not list my website?

Hmm, co.cc is a very good domain as it is for free and you can point or park your subdomain as you wish. But the thing is it is not as popular as .com, .net. org or others. Why your google didn't index yet? You must allow a few days. Sometimes it takes a few weeks to index so patience mate

Have you submitted these domain names to Google yet, and have you submitted the sites to some web directories? You could always just wait for a while, sometimes it takes time to get the sites to appear on Google.

.co.cc is also a nice domain name extension but it's for those who can't afford for .com .net I don't see the potential value of .co.cc

Yes, that domain type is really free but you have to immediately use it or else it will be canceled. However, I find that domain a little bit of unprofessional and I tend not to trust any website having that domain. There are now cheap domain names like .info or .biz which definitely would never cost you more than a drink of beer.

So why use this co.cc domain?

.co.cc isnt actually a domain name...its a sub-domain....
some company purchased a domain name www.co.cc something like www.google.com...
and the .co.cc domain u use is actually a subdomain....much like adsense.google.com....

subdomains are available for free all over the internet and this is one among them.

about your site not being listed, wait for a few days till the crawlers of the search engines visit your page... and may be your site has already being listed in their searches... more visits to your website should get it up the list...

Not all the .co.cc domains are free they charge for some premium and good domain names

I have about five co.cc sites and blogs. According to me, none of the co.cc site is indexed by google, you better buy a .com site. I am not trying to dampen your spirit, but i am informing you from my experience. I wasted one-year doing it in all possible ways, but it does not work. Maybe, i am unlucky.
