  • Anyone own any .cc domains?

Many .cc domains are selling lately. List your .cc extension's domain name here. And I would like to know what does .CC stands for. Is it "Commercial" or something else. I am not sure about this.

.cc is ccTLD of Cocos (Keeling) Islands

But most place it is used as Commercial. And I do not know why but it is.

I don't. I usually stick just to .com / nets

          .cc for commercial?

.com is still better because most people are used to typing them.

I would love to buy one but they are expensive compared to .coms or .orgs. I think cheap .com are around 6$ or even 3$ but I have seen that .cc go fo like 18$/year.. they are nice and easy to type and this still look good

I have never used .cc extensions. I am using only .com extensions and I try to use only this, even if that means having more to work to get a good domain name. I am just stubborn in this, but it's the only extension I would buy except for .ro for 2 of my Romanian sites.

Well, I wouldn't register any .cc domain name unless I am going to develop it and wait for a nice offer for it! .cc domains don't have much reseller market ATM and it's very hard to get decent offers for them at the current market!

A lot of cc domains are for sale on the net these days. What country are they of? I don't own any but if the price is right I might register a few. What does it cost to register them?
