    Domain Investing

    Anybody here invest in domain names & if so, what extentions do you invest in?

    *waves hand* I do, I do!!

    I invest in domains with traffic, so I am not too fussy on the ext. as long as its .net .org .com .biz .us

    Today I managed to pick a domain with ~800-900 uniques a month.... $10

        Yup, I agree that 2007 could be the year of the mobi's , I read recently that flowers.info sold for a silly amount so it does seem like the potential could be there.

          I always invest in .com but when it is LLL.something and good profit is awaiting then its ok.

            I believe you mean flower.mobi, not .info

            Yes, it sold for $200,000 in Oct 2006 at Traffic

              I only buy domains that I intend to develop, not park or sell.

              The domain choice can easily help your SERP rankings and make it easy for surfers to remember your site though, so you still need to 'invest' in a decent domain name.

                I am pretty new to domaining and have found that I wasted alot of $$$ on names. (Just like I was told not to do by seasoned veterans) I have found that .com/.net by far out perform the others that I own.

                I went on a buying spree and bought up about 75 .info and have had no luck with them.

                My best performing names are .com/.net, non hyphenated, generic names.

                I have also found that there is a large difference in the parking outfits. I have experimented with several, moving names around to get the best results

                      Well, .mobi domain names are quite costly anyway. Thats one reason I've kept off from it. I invest in 'ok' sounding .infos and nice, potential .coms . I'm also presently
                      looking at .in domains too, coz, they sound real nice, and because I'm from India.
                      .COM anyday. Its always been the best, and shall remain so.

                        i invested in domains. mainly rare .com domains. and also doing buying and selling good pr domains.
