As long as the domain name is informative, it is a very good tld.
For example I won edharris.info and snoop-dogg.info, and I think that only .com is better than these, because it actually suits the extension very well.

Or disease.info is very good like cancer.info. Because you can design it as an informative site.

Also geo.info like NewYork.info is very good.

But I see a lot of registrations that are not really good, they do not suit it. So if you register one, be very careful so it should have a meaning together with the extension.

From my experience, .info domains are great if you are looking to make a minisite. For professional websites, it isn't the best option though.

Also generic .info keywords get good money when sold.

Ok .INFO is good for informative websites not for all sites.
basic internet user have hard times to remember .INFO urls because .INFO it's not so well known, but if you just try to get one time visitors from search engines etc. it's ok. If you wan't your visitors come back don't use .INFO ltd.

So to summ all .COM's are way better in my opinioin and they aren't so expensive.

It is actually more then that. Godaddy doesn't mention that they also add the 22 cent ICANN fee on top of that.

.info names are great for informational site. You must have a name that fits the extention well, just like any other extention

If you intend to get the .info creeped upon by the spiders you have to give it three more key elements. A good sitemap, relevant content, and links to other pages within the domain.

Remember that it's only $0.99 at GoDaddy for the first year. After that it probably raises to something around $7.99.

The cheapest place I've found for .info domains is at Tierra.net which is 88 cents, no other catches like Godaddy

Remember that it's only $0.99 at GoDaddy for the first year. After that it probably raises to something around $7.99.

Its same everywhere this promotional price valid only for first year. well you can renew it for something between 6-7.50 at Godaddy with their promo codes.

i was looking at .info but i found a anme that was not taken for a .com so went in for it , but .info , i would buy no problem , cause if my site is about info then thats great

Not too sure, haven't come up to that time yet, but it probably would be somewhere in the $4-$5 range, I think
