Is other than dot com good for SEO?

I tried to find a good name using a dot com domain. But it's tough to find a good reputation. However, most of them were available using other domain extensions. I prefer dot com as it sounds easier to remember. But using another extension would be a good choice too because I can have a short, right, and spellable domain name.

I was reading about the real search engine optimization from the Google Webmaster Tools, but never find a post about how domain extensions affect the rank of the site on the search engine result pages. If you have ever read about this or ever have some experiment about the effect of domain extension on Google, please, share me the information here.

Yes, almost TLDs are good for SEO (Not ccTLDs) because nowadays extensions are not a important factor in SEO, so that you can choose any extension you want such as .NET, .ORG, .INFO,...IMO

Yes, as mentioned above all extension are good for SEO. But the problem is that consumers pay trust more the .com domains.
