Domain Names - which extension is better?

Hello folks,

I've just noticed that a very very new site of mine having the .net extension ranks better on Yahoo than the same site with the .info extension, although that one is already 1 month older.
Does this mean that .net domains are much better than .info ...?

This is true if you have a company name that is already well established and you don't want to change it to accommodate a website domain.

• You can consider not using a .com if most of your traffic will come from sources other than direct type-in traffic. Search users and those discovering your website on social media are agnostic to what your domain is and will likely not even notice if it’s a .net, .org, .us or even info.

Obviously, the .com is the number one domain extension, which is why it’s so common and why it’s often already registered. If you want a domain name and you want the .com, you can bet that it’s either registered, parked, expensive, or unwieldy.
