    You can host yourself

    Web hosting is an excellent opportunity to get traffic to your own site. Many companies now offer massive space on their server for free which you can then resell to others who are also looking for the hosting opportunity.

    More Niche for example will pay you to offer their service on your free hositing account. It doesn't cost you a thing and you can earn yourself from the referral fees.

    The problem is its a one off payment so what is the alternative.

    Try signing up for free web hosting at another supplier then sell the space you have received there to set up and offer hosting services. However when people sign up and get the information from your source as they often bypass you when its a free service you lose your customers.

    Another approach is to use your own server based at home or in the office, using a broadband connection its quite easy for about £200 to set up in business yourself hosting on your own server but only if you have the technical skills to manage it yourself.

    In this way you can offer a full service to companies at 5 times the price of offering the hosting services provided by a free supplier.

      One problem with this: most home ISPs (in the U.S., anyway) do not allow you to run Websites from home.

          paul8368 i like the idea you just put in, I was trying to get my hands on something the same, but couldn't made my mind to get it started.

          It seems like your post have encouraged me to get it started on my own !

            well your idea is goo dand let's try to implement this. Even I thought of starting an hosting company but I don't know what are the requirements needed to start-up along with the budget.

              The only way something like this would be allowed in the US would be to have an ISP provide you a full blown business account.

              You are allowed ONLY ONE picture(banner) upto 120 pixels in width and 60 pixels in height with a maximum 30kB filesize.

              In combination with a banner/picture you can have ONLY ONE LINE text link.


              Advertising
              Webmaster related advertising is allowed in Webmaster Marketplace section only. Free of charge.

              Shopping related (tangible goods) advertising is allowed in Buy Sell Trade section only. Free of charge.

              No advertising allowed except paid stickies in other sections.

              Please make sure that your post is relevant.
