  • Parenting for our perfect child!!

    Hi,

As all persons have their own thinking styles and point of views for various situations in life.

Here want to I want to know and ask is question for Parents actually, but well...This is also open for everyone that,

How do we discipline our misbehaving child?
What are the ways we can teach our child about what's right or wrong, good or bad?

Please share your inputs here with us.

    Thank You Very Much!!

You make them understand without violence. If you are violent towards kids, they tend to become "angry kids"

I'm one of the old fuddy-duddies here, so I'm a little old fashioned in my approach. I've successfully raised three kids, and the elements I used were these:

      * Set clear expectations. Don't be vague. If you tell them to be to the dinner table on time, that's not good enough. You have to be more specific than "on time" Tell them exactly what time, and make it clear that you don't mean "more or less" or five minutes after.
      * Tie consequences to their actions and inactions. That can be both positive and negative consequences. If they fail to feed the dog, or do their homework, let them know what the consequences of that are, and stand by it! Promising punishment, and then feeling badly about it and not following through, sends the wrong message. Kids are smart, and they'll figure out how to play that to their advantage, REAL quick!
      * Be CONSISTENT. You can't be a hard-nose one day, and a push-over the next, and expect your kid to be able to know where they stand. Be fair, and consistent, and they'll soon figure out for themselves what you expect.
      * Most important, IMO, always remember that you have two major responsibilities regarding your kids - first, their welfare. In other words, food, clothing, health, education, safety, etc. Second, their formation. In other words, VALUES. Just forcing them to follow the rules, will just let them go wild, when you're no longer standing there to enforce those rules. But teaching them values, like honesty, integrity, responsibility, etc., will become a part of them, and they'll continue to follow those values for their entire life...and probably pass them on to THEIR kids! Just remember, values are best taught by example.

I think parents should provider what their children need not what they thought good.
Good or bad is just your definition.Maybe you should give children enoght space to develop their distinguishing characteristic.

Depends on what age, me I think I will start disciplining a kid at the age of 5 but not on a violent way, children who grow up in a nice atmosphere and a well loved children are the most behave.

Take to your child seriously. Ask him/her if there's something wrong. The most common problem of misbehaving child is lack of attention from his/her parents. Since we all know, parents are becoming too focus on their work especially nowadays.
