Google opened its doors in September, 1998. Today, the company has a stranglehold on the World Wide Web. People looking to create a successful website, must acknowledge Google’s power, lest they want to be consumed by the vastness of the Internet. People seeking products or services on the Internet rarely have a direct URL in mind, and thus rely on search engines to point them in the proper direction. The majority of these people use Google, and the company strives to point them to them the most relevant and useful information based on the keywords provided. Thus, Google must be able to rank websites in order to determine their importance and credibility.

This determination is known as page rank (PR) and is a numerical value that ranges from 1 to 10. The higher the page rank, the better. People outside of Google aren’t sure exactly what formula is used to determine page rank, but they have a pretty good idea. In a nutshell, page rank is determined by the links to other websites, as well as other website’s links to it.
Links can both damage or benefit a website’s page rank. Whether it helps or harms a webpage depends on the rank of internal links. External inks (sites that link to it) tend to be less important, since a site has little or no control over other sites that link to it. For example, if a website with a PR of 1 links to a site with a PR of 7, this does not reduce the PR of the higher ranked site. Additionally, it may not increase the PR of the lower site either.
I alway consider, are keywords and description of my web wrong? or they are not relate to the pagerank? Be honesty, it is difficult to improve the pagerank, and the backlinks are not easy to live, most of them are missing. How can i make sure that the backlink is effective?
Could someone can help me and give me some advice of my web about the SEO?
