I've been thinking about a common problem that growing IT teams eventually run into: what do you do when your existing server room starts running out of space?

Adding another rack might seem like the easiest solution, but then come the questions about power capacity, cooling, cable management and room for maintenance. Sometimes the building itself doesn't allow much expansion.
