That depends on what you mean by brand. If you mean which cell phone service provider is best, then I would say either of the CDMA providers (Sprint or Verizon), as their networks are really solid, while GSM networks (ATT/Cingular, T-Mobile) tend to drop calls more frequently or have poor signal strength. If you mean which company produces the best cell phone, regardless of carrier, I would say that it depends on your needs and which carrier you have. Certain phones that are used on different carriers (like the Motorola RAZR) might give you a different experience dependant on your carrier, even though the phone is the same. I personally like HTC phones, but Nokia's are solid phones with a real ease of use. Motorola phones look good, but sometimes have performance issues. Windows Smartphones can be good as well, but they *do* run Windows and will crash/not function properly from time to time. Samsung makes really well-made phones...I have a niece who dropped hers in a toilet three times and it still worked!

The best mobile brand is the one of the phone that you can afford to purchase, pay the bill for and replace if it becomes lost, stolen or broken. There is no best when it comes to cell phones. It depends on what each person needs.
