  • Why is Halloween not celebrated in India...?

    Hello Friends,

Please tell me, Why is Halloween not celebrated in India...?

  • #2
Halloween celebration in India is on the rise, even though Halloween is not that popular as compared to other festivals in the country.

Restaurants usually cook up a theme menu where they name their dishes and drinks accordingly, to entice revellers to their joints.

One of Delhi’s most popular restaurants, Cafe Out of the Box, in Hauz Khas Village has been organising Halloween theme parties since the past few years. Halloween parties are not only limited to Delhi, cities like Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore are also organising events to celebrate the occasion. You may choose a suitable venue at India's No.1 online event venue and banquet hall booking portal, if you are planning to celebrate this occasion.

People are quite aware of what Halloween actually is. Bangalore’s cosmopolitan young crowd is adventurous and always looking for something new and different. Halloween parties were discouraged by city authorities a few years back, but they are back in trend now. While people all over Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune dress up in their costumes with more make up than a clown, the other folk in these cities always find a reason to giggle and laugh.

Many people do not even know about hallowen, because it is mostly celebrated in foreign countries. The reasons why hallowen is not celebrated in India are:-

      1.The tricks or treating.
      2.The dress to a success .
      3.The intolerant debate
      4.The notion fallacy
      5.The market of festival

I agree with this. Specially your point no. 2 and 3 are so appropriate! Indians usually focus on small issues forgetting the major issues!
