invisible links or hidden text

[jaredsdirect]

What are invisible links or hidden text and should we use them in our sites?

[binarynpixel]

I think you should not use hidden text or link on your website because its harmful for website seo. and its a black hat seo method .

[simplenursing]

Hidden text means showing something different to search engine and some showing something different to users on your site. Hidden text and invisible links are a technique which violates Google quality Guideline so we can't use them on our website.

Thanks for everyone for sharing your precious your thoughts regarding hidden text .

Hiding text or links in your content to manipulate Google’s search rankings can be seen as deceptive and is a violation of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines. Text (such as excessive keywords) can be hidden in several ways, including:

• Using white text on a white background
• Locating text behind an image
• Using CSS to position text off-screen
• Setting the font size to 0
• Hiding a link by only linking one small character—for example, a hyphen in the middle of a paragraph

Of course, hiding link is not good in SEO and it comes under black hat SEO so you should avoid it as well.

Search engines does not like black hat techniques and invisible links and hidden text is exactly black hat! Stay out of it if you don't want your site to be penalized.

The hidden links are not those that are present on the webpage to be viewed but still they are always set in an image file and can be seen through by using hyperlink. When the image gets clicked by someone it moves to some other webpage.
