1.Perform Keyword Research

Keyword research is an important task in search engine optimization for a website. You should pay attention on given things in keyword research:

• First decide your services and goals
• See what Google suggest for your keywords or services (Google suggestions)
• Search your business on Google and see what keywords your competitors are using and ranking. Again check relevancy with your business too.
• Check demand and competition of your keywords through keyword planner tool or other.

2.Optimize Content

Your content should be well optimized. The factors you should take in consideration

• implement header tags correctly,
• keyword density should be 2-5% (max.)
• content should be qualitative

3.Watch Your Links

I can't understand this point, but I think you are talking about URL structure and internal linking concept here. Also see, redirection of URL's should be proper (301 redirection, www or non-www redirection etc.).

4.Install Plugins

In my point of view "ALL in one SEO" and "Yoast" are the best SEO plugins to use.

5.Install Analytics

Follow these steps:

• First Create analytic accounts by signing-in or registering with your website email ID here.
• Add your website in your Google analytic account
• It provides a script that you should copy and paste in head part of your home page.
• Now click on verify and you are done.

6.Redirect Traffic

If you have an old website and want to swap it with new website then only redirect traffic on new website by applying 301 redirection.

7.Keep the Momentum

Keep doing quality link building, quality and fresh content generation and social sharing to promote your website
