Hi,
A Link Wheel is a network of websites (commonly used by Web 2.0 sites) and blogs connecting to each other, which will link them to your website and helps your site to rank up in Google s front page. The traditional Link Wheel goes like this:
The networks of microblogs and web 2.0 sites can vary from 6 to as much as 116 for each link wheel.
As discussed earlier, this traditional diagram is mostly susceptible to being tracked by Google. This is not entirely illegal, so to say, but it is not verily acceptable in the eyes of Google.

Link wheels are one of many strategies used in internet marketing and search engine optimization as a way to drive visitors to websites. The fundamental idea for this strategy is to create a circular pattern of links that easily flows through a number of websites. The ultimate goal is to end the circle at a website where in the case of a business website; visitors are encouraged to purchase information, services, or products relevant to the topic. This circular pattern resembles a wheel and how link wheels got their name.

With the growing number of websites in competition for visitors, the link wheel took on another look but still resembled a wheel. In this newer model, the target website resembles a hub of a wheel while the other websites form the wheel around it. Each of the outer websites was linked to one another in a circular pattern and each website offered a link to the target website resembling spokes in a wheel. This method increased the number of links leading to the target website and resulted in more exposure in search engines. The basic link wheel pattern is as follows:

Site 1 links to Site 2 and back to the “Targeted Web Site”
Site 2 links to Site 3 and back to the “Targeted Web Site”

Site 3 links to Site 4 and back to the “Targeted Web Site”
…

Site 13 links to Site 14 and back to the “Targeted Web Site”
Site 14 links to Site 15 and back to the “Targeted Web Site”

Site 15 links to Site 1 and back to the “Targeted Web Site”
