But after the update of the Google algorithm, Google has considered it as a spammy link. You could exchange the links by following the terms of Google.

I never involve myself into any kind of Link exchange activities as it is considered to be a black hat technique

If you involve yourself into Link exchange programs then you will be penalized by Google for doing black Hat activities. There have been many Google Algorithm Updates which are based on Link related issues.

Link Exchange is not at all a recommended practice. It is considered to be a Black Hat SEO technique which may cause a huge loss to your website. You might receive penalty for link exchanges and Google might penalize your site and the rankings for your site will drop because of the penalty.

I would never ever recommend that you involve yourself in Link Exchanges as it may affect the link profile of your website.
