    Bounce Rate:

Bounce rate is the percentage of people who landed on a page and immediately left. Bounces are always one page sessions.

Bounce Rate = Total Number of Bounces / Total Number of Visits

    Exit Rate:

Exit rate is the percentage of people who left your site from that page. Exits may have viewed more than one page in a session.

Exit Rate = Total Number of Exits / Total Number of Page Views

      • Bounce Rate: the percentage of single-engagement sessions
      • Exit Rate: the percentage of exits on a page

In more human words, bounce rate is determined by calculating the number of bounces over the total number of pageviews to a page. A bounce occurs whenever a user enters the page and subsequently exits without visiting another page on the website or interacting with any of the elements on the page (e.g. commenting).
Exit rate, on the other hand, looks at the number of people who exit your website after landing on a page and compares it to the total number of views the page received.

For all pageviews to the page, Exit Rate is the percentage that were the last in the session. ... Bounce Rate for a page is based only on sessions that start with that page

Exit rate is the percentage of people who left your site from that page. Exits may have viewed more than one page in a session. That means they may not have landed on that page, but simply found their way to it through site navigation.

Bounce rate is a concern to a particular page that is visitors come to a particular page and exit immediately from that page.
Exit rate is a concern to a website in which visitors come to the website and visit more that one page and exit from that website.
