I am monitoring rankings of my site ( for some other sites also) for the targeted keywords everyday. sometimes i will do it twice or thrice in a day. I observed that rankings changed everytime i.e., day to day and also from time to time when i checked during the day also.

Can anyone let me know when does google updates its search engine results. Is it happens once in a day or more than once in a day.

heh the rank of my site is increase slowly
but some new site is heiger.
i do not know how google to judge it.

often enough i've noticed that Google has the tendency to place new websites in good result positions.
After a certain amount of time, they just throw them back to its sandbox or a few pages back.
it's kinda depressing when you get in it, but that's the time to start working on it and advertising

Sorry buddy i don't know anything about their up gradation.I am only the regular user of google.I think google upgrade their services after few days....

Much of the changes is defendant on what data center your website has landed at for that moment. I tend to do better at night when my potential searchers are not looking for me.

Yep, that works for me as while. The data centers make a big difference they are not all on the same page... So to speak.

Although I can't tell you the exact frequency, based on my own experience, it is usually carried out almost every day. Sometimes the time period could be less than 24 hours as well.

I have been doing a presentation and have it change when the page was reloaded. The site in question change from #2 to # 7.

When you say new, how new do you mean? I think my site has been indexed for roughly 6 months or so. I just got decent rankings on a couple sought after keywords. I don't consider myself new though anymore. Not sure...would I be seeing this movement as part of being "new?"

Even i have seen the same some of the sites gets changed the moment u visit them n come out of it
I think this happend in a fraction of secs soo i think it has a software which keeps monitoring

Try searching when you are not logged into Google you might be amazed at the difference that it makes.
