Google Has Made its Search Box Bigger

Hi folks,

Latest update from Google is - Google search is now even bigger. Google has made the search box, search box text and the ‘Google Search’ and ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’ buttons bigger. The bigger search box will show both on the home page and on the top of Google’s search results pages.

Google’s Marissa Mayer says the bigger search box is better because the text you type is larger, and the Google Suggest dropdown text is also bigger.

Google has enlarged the input box & text, to highlight its focus on search. Here you view your query clearly. Now, suggestion is clear and easy to read.

Looks awfully bad. It seems that Google is trying to do something just because it has to do something. There is no real need to increase the size of the search box. It is just a lame excuse and nothing else.

Yes, I have also noticed this thing but it does not seem great as the previous one.

It is okay,but it's not necessary.If they are creating for senior citizens then it is a good idea to make it clearer for them to read.

I'm personally not a fan of it..I'd like to see there reasoning behind why they did it.

I think this is part of the continuous improvement that Google implements. Pretty effective because the search engine box is more readable and easier to use.

It is one of the best improvement that Google made. it will help older users to see what they are typing and read it easily.. my mom is loving it..

Well, larger fonts might have some good impacts online, although not a very big deal.

Yeah, google seems to know what people are looking for and they are willing to make changes that are simple but effective. The bigger box is just a natural thought. The other search engines seem to be lagging.
