Consider you have a website hmmmm.com and you also have a blog at blogger.com, now if you add the hmmmm.com link in your blog then will it help hmmmm.com in link building and gaining PR?

Same question goes with free webhosting like putting hmmmm.com link in the URL freewebs.com/justanexample. Will it help hmmmm.com ?

From my experience the answer to both question is yes, it will help IF -

1.) There are not a ton of other links along with it

2.) There is content on the blog/page relevant to your content on the site you are linking to

From what I have been reading on blog marketing lately, yes this will be of help to your website. Include links to the site in your blog. But do not have your link too often in the blog.

Thanks a lot for your response. I always thought that doing this thing will harm the rankings of a website as free webhostings are not considered good because lots of people use them to host SPAM and their IPs might have banned by search engines. However, it is good idea to check banned IP before adding your link as it may backfire if IP is banned.

It's beneficial if your other blog is relevant to your blog, do not put your link again and again. You should get back-link from that site only one time in a month. Also build authority of that website from where you're getting back-link.

Yes it will help your website/keyword rank better on search engines but nowadays PR does not count. DA counts only.

No. You are 100% wrong. That method isn't help you increase your PR. If you want higher PR, try to SEO it with quality backlink
