The process of removing bad backlinks:
        1. Understand what makes a backlink 'toxic'
        2. Use a tool to identify all bad links pointing to your website.
        3. Contact the webmaster and request removal.
        4. Create and submit a 'disavow' file to Google to ignore those links.

Best way is contact the owner of the web site or source where they are placed and request removal.

            1. Identify your bad links.
            2. Search for the contact information of the website you have the link on.
            3. Contact the webmaster asking him to remove the link. If you don’t get a response in within 2 weeks, go to the next step.
            4. Disavow the links and upload the file to Google.

After finding a toxic backlink you want to address, contact the referring domain to request that they remove it or add the appropriate “rel” attribute (e.g., rel="nofollow"). If that doesn't work, you may need to disavow the link (see below before taking any action).

Check your backlinks in Google Search Console and identify spammy or irrelevant domains linking to your site.
Ask site owners to remove them, or upload a domain list to the Google Disavow Tool if removal isn’t possible.

I start by spotting spammy links, email the site owners asking for removal or a nofollow, and if they ignore me I upload a disavow file through the search console.

I’d recommend clearing your browser cache and cookies, and checking the site later. Sometimes these issues are temporary, and the website might be back up soon.

Have you also tried checking to see if there are any updates on their service status? This helped me once when I encountered a similar problem with another service. By following any updates or announcements, you might find some useful insights or temporary workarounds until the issue is fully resolved.
