Windows Vista really screwed up. My friend has it on his dell with a dx6 card and he cant even see his programs after pressing all programs. Its just stupid how you need to have a dx10 card to run vista to its best ability. I wonder how there beta version is.

    Re: Windows vista

If I were to use Vista, I'd get it on a new computer from Dell that has been tested and is known to work well on it.

      Re: Windows vista

I've been reading a lot about windows vista and the only good things I hear so far are about the new look interface. I use my computer for more than just looking at, so I'm not going to bother upgrading.

There's also lots of problems, if you like a little technical detail and a long read try this: http://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~pgut00...ista_cost.html It's a bit of a worry.

        Re: Windows vista

I haven't used it myself, although I'd like to try it out. I hear from users that it's all about looks. The features are pretty basic still and nothing too advanced. I also hear, it eats up your ram! You need a very good gfx card.

Vista will be big eventually, but not now - too many bugs and problems with the original release. As said above, you'd probably need a new computer to run it flawlessly now, and you'd still have problems then. New operating systems are never perfect at the first release - have to wait awhile to give time for Microsoft to fix the bugs
